The Ethicurean

Okay, I admit it, I have an ulterior motive in mentioning this blog, which I just found today. (If you are at all interested in the politics of food you should read Michael Pollan's Op-Ed in the NYTimes.) But mainly I wanted to post about it because it's an example of a well laid-out and thought-through blog. Lots of ways to browse, etc. Also the title and tagline are both clever and extremely clear.

Thanks for posting that op-ed and blog, Katherine. I'm more tuned into the politics of food than I ever used to be, because I recently started a vegan diet (for several reasons, one of which is health). The blog you posted was really nicely laid out and the writing was witty and clear. What do you think about the bill itself?

Who doesn't have an ulterior motive, Katherine?
The tile and tagline ARE extremely clever and on this, my most recent perusal of the blog, I love it. The issues it covers are near and dear to my heart and that there are writers from around the country expounding on local issues relevant to us all makes it a powerful tool in the think globally, act locally arsenal.
On first sight, I found the post confusing, notwithstanding the correction. In fact the correction made it all the more confusing. And then I became confused because, with an issue near and dear to my heart as well as a really excellent resource for that issue, I couldn't figure out whether it was better to post or to comment so I'm doing both.
For you, esouza, here is a website that has helped me figure out which end is up concerning the Farm Bill.
It's sooo important for all the reasons Pollan lists: health, environment, nutrition, economics -both micro and macro. Contact your legislator.
