I just wanted to share that I literally spent all of last night dreaming about wireframes. Unfortunately, I woke up with the exact same ideas as when I went to sleep....and the ideas are not original...
And did anyone else's Steve Krug book break into small pieces? My binding is literally broken and in small piles of papers throughout my room. Thank god it wasn't a book about print product usuability!
Sorry for the rant.
Have a good day!

Yes! The same thing happened to my Krug book. Good thing I got it for about $10 on amazon.
An editor who works with me started dreaming about Dreamweaver recently. I've had dreams about wireframes, and once I dreamed about being trapped in an Excel spreadsheet. That is when you know you are working too hard.
Krug fell apart on me the first day I read it. I agree that the publisher should have spent a bit extra on the manufacturing considering what the author is preaching inside.
I found myself trapped in wireframe dreams too, but then I discovered that I could both visualize and implement my ideas by going to Ning,a customizable social networking site. Ning allows me to publish only to myself and position the contents of my final project page until I have a rough idea of what I want.
Since I am trying to build a community website with little experience, this option made sense. Ning even allows us to embed some XML script in selected blocks so that I can practice the language, while choosing for my site an array of available interactive widgets from the bounty of Web 2.0.
The Krug book fell apart on me too. One of my Web savvy friends turned me onto this site.
Here, I could read the first half of Krug before my trial period for this subscription-based e-text service expired.
Having read Shana's piece, I realize that not everyone will appreciate this option. The e-book formatting here resembles its corresponding print copy quite well, though. And for those who prefer actual pages, the site offers .PDF downloads for individual chapters of each of its titles
I have a copy of Krug's 1st edition, which has served me fine since I got it and still going strong. Maybe they had problems (printing or budget) with the 2nd edition?
